The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality created a new campaign called "Real Men Wear Gowns" to urge men to get more frequent checkups.
Spurred by research from 2005 that found that men are 25% less likely than women to have yearly checkups, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) recently unveiled its website aimed at men: "Real Men Wear Gowns".

Collaborating with the Ad Council and using a $100,000 budget, AHRQ launched the initiative last Monday.  The director of corporate communications for the Ad Council, Ellyn Fisher, explained the humor and positive focus by saying "It's all about starting a dialogue".

The website features a medical quiz for men, humorous videos and supporting information.
