If you are not so fitness conscious then you might not be familiar with BCAA. So for your benefit, let us tell you more about it. BCAA or Branched Chain Amino Acid are useful in gaining weight. These three amino acids namely Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine are combined together to speed up and increase the size of your muscles as well. Leucine is beneficial in muscle protein synthesis wherein Isoleucine encourages the reception of glucose into the cells.

It is highly advisable to take in amino rich foods that are also rich in protein like meat, eggs, protein shakes and supplements to achieve better results.
- It has the same muscle building effect on both young and old users. Taking Leucine alone may cause imbalance in the blood amino acid levels but taking BCAA makes it balanced. Studies say that protein synthesis is increased by as much as 145% if taken after workout.
- It decreases fatigue and increases endurance. These are two of the major factors being considered before and during strength training. The training itself increases fatigue and strain in the body and could weaken you. BCAA can be burned as energy during workout thus increasing your energy bank. On the other hand, BCAA prevents tryptophan from reaching the brain. Tryptophan is dangerous since it produces serotonin once reaching the brain. Serotonin on the other hand increases tiredness and fatigue.
